New Web customers not showing up under...

I was recenlty doing some testing of the customer functionallity and noticed that when i create an account via the website and then go to the customer module i do not see that customer under the active customers tab. Am i correct in assuming this has something to do with the default ecommerce? Please any help would be greatly appreciated.

Take a look under prospects and not customers; it should be there. By default, a new account in the web store will be a prospect in Interprise. Once the account actually purchases something, the account will convert from a prospect to a customer.
