| I am getting ready to start importing products into my database and noticed that there are quite a few relavant fields missing in the inventory import sheet that would be nice to populate while doing an import than having to go back to each product and edit or tweak after the import. My question would be, Is there a way to add these fields into the inventory sheet and make then importable in the database? Example fields would be default warehouse, category 2,..web option...etc. Any in sight would be greatly appreciated.

| Christian, What ever fields are in the item import templates is what you can import in. If you add custom fields using the Data Dictionary, those can be used within the import as well. As far as web options, I believe if you put something into the WebSummary and WebDescription fields, those items will be marked to be displayed on the web for you. I think the reason why they dont allow for anything else is because there is alot of setup on each item to be displayed on the web. Plus pictures have to be uploaded manually. Sorry that I can't be more of help but IS doesnt allow us to import much information. We have had to create SQL Scripts, locate the correct tables, and either add the records or update the information within SQL Management Studio.
